About Us

Armor Dental was created to rethink soft tissue retraction with comfort in mind;
for patients, clinicians, and the people holding the instruments every day.

Where a Softer Standard Took Shape

This is about noticing where others stopped questioning and caring enough to change it.

Armor Dental exists because comfort matters.
Not as an afterthought.
As part of the experience.

  • For patients.
  • For clinicians.
  • For the people holding the instruments every day.

What Everyone Learned To Work Around

For decades, stainless steel instruments were the only option. Rigid. Durable. Reflective. Familiar.

  • Patients adapted.
  • Assistants compensated.
  • Clinicians made it work.

It wasn’t wrong. It was just accepted.

And sometimes, the most powerful changes start by asking if something really has to be that way?

Where It Really Began

Inside the treatment room.

I didn’t come at this from the outside.

I grew up watching my mother work as a surgical assistant.

Meet the CEO

Hi, I’m Cherie Le Penske, Founder & CEO of Armor Dental. I grew up around dentistry.

My mother was a surgical assistant, and I spent years in and around treatment rooms, helping where I could, watching procedures, listening to conversations, and paying attention to details most people overlook.

I noticed:

  • How much strain routine instruments place on hands, from everyday check-ins to longer procedures.
  • How patients instinctively tensed around rigid tools.
  • How instruments often dictated the experience instead of supporting it.

And one thought kept surfacing: What if this could feel better?

Not revolutionary.

Just… more thoughtful.

A Softer Way Forward

That question sparked Armor Dental’s approach to soft tissue retraction.

By introducing soft, bendable, non-reflective instruments, including sleeves that fit over familiar instruments, the experience of use changes in subtle but meaningful ways.

This wasn’t about reinventing dentistry. It was about refining how tools interact with people.

And once you notice the difference, it’s hard to un-notice it

Designed for Dental & Veterinary Practices

Armor Dental products are developed and tested before release and are used in dental and veterinary practices.

They’re designed with:

  • Comfort in mind
  • Control where it counts
  • Ease of use for the people working chairside

Many of these solutions were adopted quietly and shared by word of mouth long before they were widely marketed.

Sometimes the best ideas spread because they simply make sense.

Why Comfort Matters More Than People Think

Comfort isn’t about luxury. It’s about experience.

When products feel better in hand, when materials are softer where they matter most, and when design supports real workflows, everything shifts for patients and for professionals.

That belief shows up in every detail we care about.

And we care deeply about getting those details right.

Today, and What’s Next

Still curious. Still refining.

Armor Dental continues to develop new solutions across dental, veterinary, and personal-use applications, guided by the same mindset that started it all:

If it’s easier on people, it’s a better design. That curiosity hasn’t gone anywhere.

What Drives Me

My three children are a constant reminder of why comfort, care, and thoughtful design matter.

They shape how I see the world, how I work, and why building things that make life easier for people will always matter to me.
